The Michigan Avenue Fashion Tour steps off this summer as the ultimate fashion experience for Michigan Avenue visitors and shoppers. Experience the glamour and excitement of the avenue with a tour that starts at the Drake Hotel and winds its way down the famous avenue to The Terrace Rooftop, Bar and Restaurant, at the Conrad Chicago Hotel.
Highlights of the two-hour tour include fun and entertaining history of the avenue including stories about Princess Diana, Karl Lagerfeld, and famous retailers including Stanley Korshak, I Magnin and Bonwitt Teller. Stops at today's who's who of design include: Chanel, Georg Jensen, Anne Fontaine, Escada and Coach. The tour is scheduled every Tuesday starting July 12 through August 23, 2011, The tours are offered at 10:00 am, and includes time for shopping and lunch.
The Michigan Avenue Fashion Tour is a great way for visitors and residents to connect with the vibe of Michigan Avenue and learn about fashion, style and current trends. Participants will learn about mixing, cross brand shopping and how to avoid common fashion mistakes. The goal of the tour is to educate, inform and entertain.
Participants in The Michigan Avenue Fashion Tour will be escorted and introduced to the best shopping in the city and learn all about the avenue from a fashion perspective.
The fee for the tour is $50 per person, with light lunch and refreshments at the participating hotel partners. Tickets can be purchased online at www.michiganavenuefashiontour.eventbrite.com.
